Headhunters Headwear

Did a product shoot yesterday with one of my clients. The owners of Headhunters Headwear, Malinda & Jaimie, are always a blast to work with. They added 71 hats to their line of very stylish ladies baseball and trucker hats. They have a fabulous product and are doing very well! Height Goddess

The work of any shoot never starts until the image review and editing stage. Long after the makeup artist, hairstylist and assistants have left the studio, is when the work for the photog, art director, and editor truly begins. It has been 6 days since the shoot for my client, Height Goddess. The images have been converted to JPEGs and sent off for selection.

Busy!!

I haven't posted in quite a while...almost a month or so. I have been shooting and editing and shooting.
Yesterday, I did a shoot on location. The location was the Dallas Museum of Art. We were very lucky because the weather was beautifully overcast! Great diffused natural light! Yes, I brought an entire portable lighting set up, but I didn't need it!

Did a marathon shoot with League of Rebels Designer, Musa Ato. League of Rebels is launching their new website March 1st. I photographed their new collection of men's suits, as well as, product shots of some of their earlier designs. The shoot, as always, was a lot of fun. Yesterday I did a male model call for my client League of Rebels. Men's designer, Musa Ato, conducted a male model call to find models for our next shoot. He was pleased with the models he found and looks forward to our shoot next week. I too look forward to next week's shoot. The designs that we are shooting are awesome! Javier and Frito

Today I did a photo shoot with Javier and Frito. These two guys are Regaeton (probably didn't spell that right) singers. It was their first professional photo shoot. Faith M.

Yesterday, I did a test with Faith. Faith is a beautiful girl with the prettiest eyes and blonde hair. She, at 15 years old, already stands 5'11"! Very smart and just pleasant to work with. Her parents were at the shoot and are very fine people. It was really great to meet and work with them. Faith is definitely on her way. She has really good movement, temperament, and takes direction really well. I look forward to watching this young lady grow as a model.

Lesson learned!

Tonight as I was editing photos, I learned a huge lesson as far as being a fashion photographer running a photo set. If you don't want to spend countless hours editing images, don't shoot images that will require countless hours of editing! Duh! Right! I also learned that the wardrobe stylist needs to be on set with the photographer and not helping models get dressed. The eyes watching the wardrobe as it is being shot should be the eyes of the wardrobe stylist! Duh! Right! Just finished another round of editing! Until next time...

Height Goddess and Treasure Rock

Today was a marathon of editing images for both companies!

Height Goddess images were re-edited for the product images that are used on overstock.com's website. I still have a lot of additional images to be edited for the company's own website. That is at least a week of work.

Treasure Rock's images were edited and finished tonight. I don't think they are expecting the images so soon. I happen to be in a unique situation where I could do them on the same day they made their selection of images. I believe they will be very happy as they need those images for use in this week's Market in New York.

I am becoming quite the image editor! I will however start budgeting for an image editor as it is very time consuming. I could be shooting instead of editing! Well until next time,
