I've always shot my images as JPEG files. I thought since I still use a light meter and shot as if I was shooting slide film, I didn't need the safety net of shooting raw. Well that's where I was wrong. Raw isn't just about adjusting exposure, but it allows for a batch load of changes to the image that are non destructive! I have been shooting in Raw for about the last 2.5 months and am loving it. It has changed my work flow. But, the trade off is way worth it. Today I spent editing images and tweaking my raw work flow. My fellow photogs tried to tell me about the benefits of shooting raw files long ago. Well in addition to admitting that they were right I will also say Happy New Year! No I'm not out watching the ball drop, I am in front of my computer editing images for my clients, listening to The Roots, and drinking a little brandy!
Until next time...10,9,8,7,6,5...Happy New Year!
